Half-Life Alyx *is* a VR experience. It's main point is the immersion and the interactions with the VR controllers. If you remove that part of the experience, you may as well just watch a video of it, since you won't experience much. Also, people with glasses can use VR headsets without issues :) Epsilia.
The gameplay, crafting, weaponry, and other mechanics were brilliantly executed. HL: Alyx may not have some of the bells-and-whistles in other games, but goddamn is that game incredible.
