He said LED headlights. It's the new rage..I hate HIDS personally. I don' think you need resistors for headlights. OP how do they look as far as compared to Halogen also do you have any pics. I've been wanting to do this for awhile now, but it's a little premature atm. But if you do decide to use them you need to mount the resistors with screws to a metal surface to help with dissipating the heat they will generate. A much better solution would be to install a pair of battery based relay wiring harnesses, one for each side. These will provide the correct voltage to your HID ballasts and your headlamp motors Doesn't make sense:-. turn signals are something used only intermittently, LED will save the proverbial "ten per cent of bugger-all";. additional resistors with LED turn signals reduce the total resistance so you can use a relay for incandescent bulbs; however, by definition, those resistors consume the power the LED saves; either fit incandescent bulbs or a relay for LED. What you will need - 1. (2) 12v Load resistors. 2. (2) 3157 Switch Back Amber/White Led Bulb 3. (4) 14AWG Butt Splice 4. (4) 6" Medium Walled Adhesive Heat Shrink Tube I started out by taking the grille off and headlights out. You need to do this even if you want to change a regular bulb. The grille has a few push bolts in the top. Next, find the ring screw at the bottom of your current headlamp. You’ll need a Phillips head to remove this screw; do so and set it aside. You should see a tab on the housing ring. Use this to rotate the ring about an inch counterclockwise. Remove the headlamp housing ring and set it aside.

The above indicative values of resistors are assuming 20 mA per LED as optimal. Do your own calculations for your specific LEDs. For a ready to use online calculator, use an "LED resistance calculator" instead of a voltage divider one. This one even provides the correct schematic or wiring diagram as you prefer, to wire the LEDs up.
